On partially frustrated systems

چکیده
2014 We consider the effects of partial frustration, i.e. frustration in a restricted number of dimensions ; they are investigated in a typical model, the stacked triangular antiferromagnetic Ising model. For this purpose we studied its quantum equivalent, the 2D-triangular model with a transverse field, through finite size analysis. They both exhibit true long range order. These considerations are extended to the non-Ising case with in mind possible application to the discotic phases of liquid crystals. J. Physique 45 (1984) 1297-1307 AOÛT 1984,

The massive CPN−1 model for frustrated spin systems
We study the classical SU(N)⊗ U(1)/SU(N − 1)⊗ U(1) Non Linear Sigma model which is the continuous low energy effective field theory for N component frustrated spin systems. The β functions for the two coupling constants of this model are calculated around two dimensions at two loop order in a low temperature expansion. Our study is completed by a large N analysis of the model. The β functions f...
متن کاملSmall-network approximations for geometrically frustrated Ising systems.
The study of frustrated spin systems often requires time-consuming numerical simulations. As the simplest approach, the classical Ising model is often used to investigate the thermodynamic behavior of such systems. Exploiting the small correlation lengths in frustrated Ising systems, we develop a method for obtaining first approximations to the energetic properties of frustrated two-dimensional...
متن کاملGeneralized Weakly Contractions in Partially Ordered Fuzzy Metric Spaces
In this paper, a concept of generalized weakly contraction mappings in partially ordered fuzzy metric spaces is introduced and coincidence point theorems on partially ordered fuzzy metric spaces are proved. Also, as the corollary of these theorems, some common fixed point theorems on partially ordered fuzzy metric spaces are presented.
متن کاملPartial Geometric Frustration in Inorganic Supramolecular Spin Systems with One-Dimensional Trigonally Aligned Magnetic Chains ∞1(MCl4)2− (M = Fe2+, Co2+)
Exploration of new spin systems with low-dimensional subunits have been of great interest in the past decades due to their interesting physical properties and potential applications in molecular spintronics. Two inorganic supramolecular complexes, (Hg3S2)(FeCl4) and (Hg3S2)(CoCl4), with trigonally aligned 1-D infinite magnetic ∞(1)(FeCl4)(2-) or ∞(1)(CoCl4)(2-) chains have been prepared by soli...
متن کاملConformational transitions of heteropolymers in dilute solutions
In this paper we extend the Gaussian self–consistent method to permit study of the equilibrium and kinetics of conformational transitions for heteropolymers with any given primary sequence. The kinetic equations earlier derived by us are transformed to a form containing only the mean squared distances between pairs of monomers. These equations are further expressed in terms of instantaneous gra...
